For many years, upon realizing that I was French, my American interlocutor would Say "hahaha! Voulez-vous?". It was a cliche made popular by the great New Orleans hit "Lady Marmelade". So I got the idea for a collection of French clichés known USA-wide: Voulez-vous Un Rendez-Vous, Un déjá Voo, Le skunk -de-Pew...Okay, that last one was an obscure Mel Blanc Pépé le Pew reference, les Haricots sont pas salés..."Mon Overcraft est plein d'anguilles is a glaring expectation. Translated into "My hovercraft is full of eels" you cannot say that this is a cliché at all. Probably came from obscure British snake worshippers. So much fun to play..
