6 months of writing way too much material, here is finally the selected music. Without Joan 's words, just feelings in music. Another way to journey through the life of an extraordinary human being. My job was to underscore her speech. Shadowing her words as she spoke of joys and great tragedies, a lyrical pas-de-deux, an unusual endeavor. For 6 intense months, I spend more time with Joan than with anyone else. It made me a better human being. It was impossible not to fall in love with Joan after this most amazing task of shadowing her speech with a guitar as she spoke of joys and great tragedies. I am very grateful for director Tim Jackson to trust me with the job, and for introducing me personally to the unforgettable Joan Walsh Anglund.
Special thanks to Mad Mark Gerstel for the gift of the Seagull 12 string guitar. Its brilliant sound starts the journey.
